Peking Union Medical College Hospital Health Management Department, also referred to as the Physical Examination Center, was founded in 2005. The center operates across the East and West campuses. The East Campus center moved into floors 9 to 11 of the new outpatient building on September 17, 2012, with a total area of approximately 5,400 square meters.
As an important clinical department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, the center serves people who are currently healthy or seeking preventive health evaluation. Children’s Check-up and Family Health Support
In August 2024, Peking Union Medical College Hospital officially launched children’s check-up services, mainly serving healthy children aged 7 to 18. Compared with adult check-ups, children’s check-ups pay more attention to growth, development, nutrition, vision, oral health, and age-related health needs.
The children’s check-up service includes basic and customized packages. Basic packages may include blood, urine, and stool tests related to liver function, kidney function, blood lipids, and allergens, as well as pediatric, ophthalmology, and oral examinations, electrocardiogram, body composition analysis, and ultrasound examinations. Customized packages may include growth and development assessment modules.

The East Campus check-up center is located on floors 9 to 11 of the new outpatient building. It has dedicated access, direct elevators, and a check-up area separated from regular outpatient traffic, helping reduce cross-contact and improve the examination experience. The spacious, bright, clean, and modern environment provides a more comfortable setting for check-up clients.
The West Campus Health Management Center is located on the 5th floor of the International Medical Department and provides an independent and comfortable check-up area. For clients requiring gastroscopy or colonoscopy, dedicated check-up wards may be arranged when appropriate.
The center provides free VIP pre-check-up consultation. Experienced general physicians can help design personalized check-up packages according to each client’s condition. During the check-up process, staff members provide guidance throughout the examination flow. After the check-up, the center supports lifelong health record management and connection with PUMCH medical resources.

The center uses advanced medical equipment such as digital radiography, color ultrasound, echocardiography, and transcranial Doppler ultrasound. For clients with special examination needs, the center can help coordinate large-scale equipment examinations within the hospital, including multi-source 128-slice CT, 3T MRI, coronary CTA, PET/CT, digital fiber gastroscopy, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy.
The West Campus is equipped with advanced digestive endoscopy diagnosis and treatment equipment, endoscope disinfection systems, SOMATOM Force dual-source CT, MR750w wide-bore 3.0T MRI, Senographe Essential full-field digital mammography system, iDXA dual-energy X-ray bone densitometry, and Philips Digital Diagnost digital X-ray systems.

Weekend Check-up and International Medical Support
In April 2026, the International Medical Department at the Dongdan campus officially launched weekend check-up services to serve people who are unable to arrange examinations on weekdays. It also introduced weekend inpatient check-up services, with Sunday admission and Monday discharge, designed for clients who need gastrointestinal endoscopy, systematic evaluation, and multidisciplinary assessment in a quiet and private inpatient environment.
The International Medical Department Health Management Center provides dedicated health management services for members and supports comprehensive, continuous, whole-person health care. The West Campus International Medical Department has also signed agreements with nearly 30 well-known domestic and international commercial insurance institutions, providing direct billing services for eligible insurance clients.
