Hospital Overview & Historical Development
Founded in 1952 by renowned professors Hu Maolian and Guo Bingkuan, the hospital was originally named Shanghai Medical College Eye, Ear, Nose and Throat Hospital. After the merger of Fudan University and Shanghai Medical University in 2000, it adopted its current standardized name.
It is a nationally recognized Red Cross hospital, a clinical drug trial institution, and a national training base for ophthalmology and ENT specialists.
